| Does anyone make good 40rd mags for a M1A1? |
| No.....Might be a little long though. IIRC there are some extended mags that were made up from welding two GI 20rd bodies together, I don't know if they held 40 but probably less. There is also some evidence that a 75rd drum was produced in a very small quantity pre 1994, a modified MG15 drum was mated to a feed tower that would fit into an M14. |
| There are 30's... not the crappy blued pieces of junk that you find at the funshows, but somebody was making GI spec 30rd bodies with welded on rear lug/tab, parked, with a powerful spring to boot. Silly me, I only bought one of these things... works great! It may be a tad long and somewhat heavy, but for rapid fire she's a doozy. |
Sounds like what I'm looking for. Who? Where? |
GREAT SCOTT!! I have to see this! Any more info on the 75 round drum? edit/ Beta C-MAG created these monsters! I want of of these for shits and giggles - only the are 2006 production |
Thanks for the info!! looks great! No it is not to be used in the prone position, but was that not why the M1 Grannd did not use a box mag. everyone knew it was useless. |
