I am using a Dillon 550 and have a Redding 2 die set # 80444. I am developing a load using a Barnes 300grn TTSX bullet and am TRYING to seat the bullet for a COAL of 2.240-2.245 Heres the problem, my seating stem is ran all the way down and the thumb lockring won't engage (lockring free-spins because the seating stem threads are below where the lockring sits and can't engage the seating stem threads). It's like the seating plug is not long enough. I might have a die problem. TBD, will start the phone calls tomorrow to Dillon and Redding. also looking for load data on IMR-4198, H110 and the 300grn TTSX, Starline Brass, WLP. Thanks |

I had heard that some of the first sets of the Redding dies had too short seating stems, if you get a hold of them I think they will send you a longer one. This is the load I am using for the 300gr. TTSX
300gr. TTSX Starline Brass CCI 350 31.3 gr. H110 COL 2.25 YMMV start lower and work up for your rifle. |
