any one ever load a 240grain .452 hollow point for 45? when i load it to OAL of 1.14 it seems to buldge the case out making it look quite weird. but anyting longer wont chamber. im using RCBS dies, Ive got about 300 hundred left and would rather not have them sitting. I can load 230 grain .451RN however with out any issues.
gun im loading for is a Springfield GI 45. thanks for any help this is driving me nuts

OP, jacketed or cast? All manuals and data I have read state .451 for jacketed bullets and .452 for cast for 45 ACP.

its jacketed, just tried resetting the crimp/ bullet setting die but to no luck. though i havent been reloading long, ive tried everything i could think of i think it is the bullet itself being just a hair too wide and buldging the case when it seats

just got off the phone with serria and was told that bullet is longer then a round nose and is more suited for 45 long colt like stated above. so now ive gotta find someone to trade or buy about 300 round from me. thanks for the help though !

Try customprojectile.com their scorpion 260gr boattail  sp is made for heavy bullet loads in .45acp without the creating a bulge (which does raise pressures)
