Good evening. Is anyone aware of a quality 4" free float hand guard? After hours of searching I found one produced by Samson and one produced by YHM. Additionally I found what appears to be a listing by Daniel Defense in some sort of cache on their website for a discontinued 4" version of the Lite Rail. I would love to find an authentic DD 4" Lite rail but it looks like they only license that to air soft makers now.
My intent for this is to build a 9mm SBR using a 5" barrel with a 4" rail, aVFG, and a handstop. The vision is to be an AR platform version of the MP5K. I have no desire for the handguard to extend beyond the end of the barrel. I will not buy the YHM for numerous reasons and do not care for the Samson rail due to the bottom rail being removable. i don't know if this is quality, but Leapers/UTG makes a 4" rail. its model MTU008. i had it on my short 22 upper, until i changed it out because i added a suppressor to it. it was fine and made in USA. however, i don't know how a VFG and handstop would all fit on a 4" rail.

I got a dd before they were discontinued. I don't know if these are any good, but I thought I would throw it out there.
