Hello,
I am filling out my 5320.20's and I had a few questions. Hopefully someone could help. Anyway, I live in NM and live close to the Texas border. I would like to take my SBR to Texas to shoot at the range there, but I also would like to take it to a friends house to shoot, public land to shoot,etc. Basically, I would like to take it to numerous places. Do I need to do a separate form for each location? I will be in the same city, but just in different places. My other question is: I don't have a set schedule as to when I would be going. I can assume I will be going to Texas often, but not on any set schedule. Basically, when i feel like it. Is there a way to fill out the form for a broad set of dates or do I need to fill out a form every time I would like to go? Thank you in advance for any help given. |

You can take it anywhere in the state that you have an approved 5320.20 for. Put your friend's address or the address of a nearby range or something on the form and you're good to go. You can fill out the form for a 365 day period. Many here, myself included, in October or November prepare forms for the next year. 1/1/12-12/31/12 in the date range for example is perfectly acceptable. In the reason you can just put "travel back and forth to Texas in 2012" and that's acceptable as well. |
