can one can be run on both?
I have M14, two 223 AR and a 300 blkout. Can I get a can for the 762 and use it on all three? I have been looking at the Surefire cans. |

He is asking if the 223 brake will fit the 308 can and the answer is usually yes but you need to check. Lots of manufacturers make them that way so you can do exactly that. |

The 762 barrels are threaded 5/8 x 24, and 556 barrels are (usually) threaded 1/2 x 28 .......so you will have different mounts. But most makers 762 suppressors are backwards compatible with their 556 mounts. |

Socom 556 suppressor adapters will fit both the 556 and 762 socom cans.
However, SF is still making the 762ss which is a reflex can (over the barrel mount) although soon to be phased out per a recent conversation with them. The 762ss is not made to fit on the 556 reflex can mounts. They are making an adapter that is supposed to work on 556 guns but ive had a coulple on order since oct 12 and still nothing. But I don't suspect you are looking at the reflex cans. |
