The big brown truck has arrived. I sort of bought this pack on a whim. It's a pretty large "assault pack' with padded shoulder straps and no belt. There is a plastic sheet in the back (towards you are you are wearing). The pad is thicker and stiffer than an Eagle AIII back sheet. I apologize for the crappy and sometimes confusing pictures, I don't think Military Morons has to worry about be putting him out of business.

I got it, eventually, from LAPolice gear with some other stuff. The water bottle carrier comes free with the pack.

If I was a cool gear review guy I would have a picture of an expensive pair of oakleys in the top glass case section. However all I have is a banana. Neat feature in this pack with an amazing number of pockets and compartments. Not sure having glasses on the top of a pack is a great location

Radio/hydration tube ports, one on each side on the top. There is a hole between the rear hydration compartment and the larger main compartment to run a hose up through these holes.

There is one zippered pocker and a bungee corded pocket on the rear of the main compartment. There is a fleece sweater in the bungee corded pocket to give an idea of the size. Pretend the banana is a smoke grenade or something.

There are three compartments on the front side of the main compartment (away from you as you wear it). Two are mesh that you can see through and one is solid nylon. All three are zippered. The bottom compartment is able to hold two winter gloves and a knit hat.

There are two identical exterior pockets on the top "front" of the pack (away from you as you wear it). There is a small zippered compartment and nylon walled pocket. Although it is hard to tell because of my terrible picture there is a small ipod and lighter in the mesh opcket and a cel phone in the nylon pocket

There is one exterior pocket on the bottom front of the pack. Against the rear of the pack there are two pockets, one zippered, which would maps, notebooks etc. The taller one is zippered. The advertising flyers are just stuck in there to show where the pockets are, they are too large to fit without folding them.

Lower down against the wall of the packet on the left side there are three pen loops. On the right side is a pocket that looks like it is intended for a pda, but mine would not fit, maybe a newer one or an iphone would fit better.

Below the pen loops there are two nylon pockets with retention straps that close with velcro. There is a pda in the left side in the picture.

On the other side of the bottom exterior pocket there are two nylon pouches the size of a 30 round AR magazine

There are two identical exterior pockets, one on each side of the pack. Inside there is a small nylon pouch, the knife is in that, and room for a small water bottle.

There are two drain grommets at the bottom of the larger compartment and a separate one at the bottom of the hydration compartment.

The pack is pretty big. Course I question how useful the size is with no belt and only a plastic sheet for a stiffener. I guess it would be okay for carrying something light like winter clothing. I'll get up some more pictures tonight compared to some other packs

The hydration bladder pouch on the rear of the pack has a pretty stiff plastic sheet in it. I am not sure it is removeable so I am nto sure why you can open it

There appears to be a greater difference between the Rush 24 and the Motherlode in person that it appears in the pictures. The 5.11 pack is larger and more square in shape
