I can't get a decent picture because my macro just isn't strong enough. I found @ 200 LC 5.56 once fired cases at the range and they all have a slight ding in them about 3/4" up from the case head. The ding is about 2mm long and if I look at it under magnification it does appear that there is a very tiny bit of a brass burr on one edge. I ran a bent paper clip inside and I can feel the ding on the inside, it's not deep. I know it's hard without a pic but do you think these will be ok to reload. I hate to ditch them as they're so nice otherwise. TIA

I'd use them.

The dents are not uncommon and do not pose a safety issue.  They should be fine for reloading.  All the dents will expand to chamber size when fired.  The primer crimp ring will have to be removed before you can reliably seat new primers.

Thanks. By the way, they look just like these.

Do you reckon it's from the brass deflector?  Without a picture it is hard to say for sure, but from the location and the description you give, that's what it sounds like to me.  If so, I think it is fine to load, it'll just mean slightly more working of the brass at that spot, and slightly decreased case life.  IMHO, nothing to throw out 200 perfectly good cases over.

Edit:  Yep, picture says "deflector" to me.  I'd use 'em.

Those dents are caused by an AR brass deflector and the will disappear when fired next time.  Pad the deflector on your rifle with a piece of fuzzy Velcro.
