Position sights) on desired rail groove and insert cross-screw and clamp from the lett side; then tighten selected clamp cross-screw to only 20-25 Inch-Pounds. Do not over tighten. 2. Set the rear sight to the "Z mark" for 25 meter range zeroing. (Referring to Zeroing Target): 3. Fire 3-round groups using a "point-of-aim-point-of-impact" bull's-eye target technique. 4. Make "Zero Elevation" adjustments with the front sight post after each 3-round group. 5. Make "Zero Windage" adjustments with the windage knob after each 3-round group. 6. When zeroed, re-set the rear sight back to "3" for a true 300 meter zero. Note Zero Windage Position between the windage scale and knob position for future reference. 600 Meter Back-Up Iron Sight Operating Instructions: a. Once zeroed, the rear sight's 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 meter range marks may be used for estimated combat ranges. However, because the range markings are "averaged" between rifle and carbine barrel differences, the exact point-of-aim-point-of-impact sight settings may differ a click or two on your weapon. If possible, fire your weapon at known distances and note your exact + or - "clicks" for each range. b. When other exact ranges are known, the "intermediate clicks" between the major range markings may also be used to set the rear sight and engage targets at ranges such as 250 m, 375 m, or 550 m, etc. Any questions?
