| I have been reading alot about this round. If it gets funding and the military changes over to this new round. I cant even imagine the chaos it would cause on this board! Any one smart would stock pile new barrels and bolts for the change. People bitched about going to the 308 from 30-06 then 308 to 5.56. Now guys will talk about the 5.56 and how wonderful it was! |

Why would it cause chaos on this board? Barrels and Bolts, mags and ammo aren't being surplussed out of the military anyway. So there won't be any decline in parts availability. There may be a small hit on the ammo market if Lake City switches over and we can't get ammo that way. There are already a lot of uppers chambered for different calibers, and they all have their nitche. I think the people it would most affect are those that have already got an SPR who might have been happier if it were chambered for the new cartridge. |
