Going to make this one a coyote blaster.

I bought a Nikon ProStaff 4 - 12 X 40 scope, but the rings I had laying around the house are a bit too low.  They are accushot high pro rings.  I can't mount the scope without the eye piece touching my factory BUIS.  I'd prefer to keep the BUIS on the rifle.

Thought about the Burris PEPR, but I'm still not sure that's going to be tall enough.  I'm leaning toward a picatinny riser to try and get some extra height.  Anyone have experience with a riser on a sig 716?  Issues?

Other thoughts of a mount that would work?

Depending how much you want to spend, Midwest Industries has a cantilever mount that works well for about $90. It is not quick release, but there is room for the sig buis to fit under the scope. I have one on my 716 and it has worked well.

Thanks for the response...

I ordered the PEPR yesterday.  Here's hoping it's tall enough.  Now I wish I would have waited an extra day before ordering and I would have just got the MI mount you mentioned since I know it works for you!

Just an update... the PEPR works great.  Raises the scope high enough to clear the irons and the pop up scope covers.
