Anyone have a integrally supressed 77/22, what make (supressor)
how do you like it. and why. thanks inadvance. |
| AWC Ultra 77/22 stainless. I like it cuzz it is SO quiet and accurate. I had to shoot a few rats (after a hurricane had pushed them into the neighborhood) and the neighbors (in their backyard on the other side of a wood fence) never noticed (but would not have cared anyway...I asked them what had they heard and was told "nothing"). I looks like it has a bull barrel. Several years ago it did start throwing the shots. I returned it to AWC who said I must've dropped it, as a baffle was out of alignment. I had never dropped it. They fixed it at no charge and it has been fine ever since. I plug up the bbl and fill it with bore solvent about every 500rds, let sit overnight, and then drain for cleaning purposes. It's my "go to" suppressed firearm when I want to impress someone. It is no longer made, but it was replaced by the Ultra II, so maybe that is even better, but that would be hard to imagine. |

So one can can use it on th 77/22, 10/22, p22, mosquito, tec 22, Ar15 with 22 upper and anything else i might add in the future... Singtoe- Does the 77/22 run 10/22 mags? Rotary? Hi-caps? On a longshot, are the barrels interchangeable? I've been thinking about a .22LR bolt gun host like a CZ-452, but if the 77/22 is plug & play with 10/22 gear, that'd be a huge plus. |

The 77/22 is basicly the 10/22 meets Ruger 77. The Magazines do fit, but that is it. The fire control parts look just like the parts in the Ruger 77. The barrel look similar to 10/22 barrels but aren't. The 77/22 barrel has 2 ejector slots while the 10/22 only has one. The barrel extenension that fits in the reciever is slightly longer on the 77/22. So the conversion is one way. You can fit a 77/22 barrel on a 10/22 with a spacer but not the other way. I use the 25 round magazines from Tactical Innovations in mine and it seeams to never run out of ammo. I also use the same magazines in my Tec 22. Very fun. I liked the ruger over the cz just because of this, High Capacity Mags, they are cheap and because I have so many of them. |
