Bought a box of 100 and they're covered in some kind of oil. Not cosmoline. What do I use to take this crap off? Just regular Dawn and hot water?

I used Brakekleen on mine then compressed air.

Brake cleaner followed by a light coat of oil.

Which ones are they, the older ones that are spring steel, used to come with AP ammo, I got a few hundred that came with ammo.
The newer ones are painted black and dont seem to work as well.

if you bought them from Tapco i would throw them away instead of wasting Dawn dishsoap on them (how i cleaned mine). the dish soap is definately worth more!

I got these from Centerfire Systems. I haven't even taken them out of the bags yet.
