| Looking at buying 12ga. 870 Express Magnum from a buddy, but having feding problems. Sometimes shells feed sometimes not. Shells hang up in magazine tube, sometmes hard to manually remove shells from mag tube while holding mag latch. Any ideas? KW |

Possibilities:
Dirty, rusty magazine spring and internal tube. Dented or "squashed" magazine tube. Weak/damaged magazine spring. Damaged magazine follower. Dirty gun. Dirty/rusted shell releases. (DO NOT remove them. They're riveted in place and replacement requires a special tool). Flush them out with Gun Scrubber, then dry and spray in a lube. |
