The old Remington factory folder isn't much, if any lighter than a synthetic standard stock.
Plus they beat the absolute CRAP out of you. If you buy one, watch out for stress cracks in the plastic grip. This was a problem and new grips are not available anywhere I know of. |

The Remington folder stock is shit –– it's uncomfortable, the length of pull is long, and it'll batter the crap out of you... but it looks cool.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with it. I think a lot of its cachet just comes from the fact that Remington considered it a law-enforcement-only item. |

Someone once posted that you could sub the grip from the ATI folder in place of the Remington grip. |

So you guy would have walked away at $300? These original LE folders are getting hard to find. It's not about comfort with this one, it's all style ![]() I never understood the "getting hard to find" phrase for anything in this world. It's not like people buy something and then destroy it for it never to reappear again. There is always a used market regardless of what the item is. Unless you are talking about a product being sold by dealers that has been discontinued. But then the phrase should be "getting hard to find at factory prices". Gunbroker and multiple gun boards have these stocks for sale all the time. As far as the original sentiments. I definately agree that these stocks look awesome, but they beat the crap out of you and have lowsy cheek weld. But this goes for any type of old generation folding stock (i.e. AK under folder, AK wire side folder, AK triangle side folder, FAL para folder, etc). They are really meant for a gun that requires a small storage footprint and won't be shot a lot. |

When naked I much prefer my other PM with the Knoxx stock, no pinching.
I plan on keeping this LE PM original, need to find a end cap and get rid the extension. Gunbroker and multiple gun boards have these stocks for sale all the time.
Aftermarket folders are a dime a dozen, the Remington LE folder is "getting hard to find" I've seen two on Gunbroker in the past few months, at $200 plus. The Remington folder stock is shit –– it's uncomfortable, the length of pull is long, and it'll batter the crap out of you...
Agreed! If your less than adult sized it well beat the crap out of you. |
