| I broke down my new 870 tactical after firing about a hundred rounds of mixed rounds and noticed that the firing was not sticking out of the back of the bolt. What do i need to know about replacing the spring |

Take the bolt out of the gun, Remove part # 21 (Firing Pin Retaining Pin - see this schematic) to remove and replace the firing pin and/or spring.
With the firing pin and spring out of the bolt you should be able to tell if its needs replacement or just a good cleaning. |
