ive heard of things to stick in the chamber? to allow you to fire say if you had a 12ga you can stick a conversion in your chamber to shoot 16ga or 20ga is this true?
if so where can i find them?

i ask because my friend has a remington 870 16 ga and he hates finding shells/ chokes for it so i figured if one of these would make him like his shotgun alot more and since he has a 16ga and if these are devices are true he can make it into a 20ga? would he have to do anything with the bolt/ extracter?

thanks

I believe I have seen them in the Sportsmans guide catalog and in Cabelas but I dont recall seeing one for 16-20 I am sure they are out there but I also believe that they are designed for break actions.

This is the only thing I am aware of.  Not a true conversion, but an insert you put in the chamber.

Scroll down the list, they do make a 16ga-20ga insert, but I am not 100% sure it will work in a pump action.
