I'm working on a 9mm AR and just got my 3.5" barrel from Quartercircle 10. My suppressor will not thread all the way down to the shoulder. Don't have this problem with my Glock 19 threaded barrel. Comparing thread lengths, the QC10 barrel is indeed threaded ~3/16" longer than the glock (lone wolf) barrel. Wouldn't expect to have a problem for a $270 barrel.
What are the options? Get recut? Use a spacer? |

Are you using a Ti-Rant? Some pistons (such as the Ti-Rant, but there are others) have an internal index for indexing on the muzzle face. It's an ECO-9, which does use Ti-Rant pistons (I believe). So it would be acceptable to use my suppressor without it being bottomed out on the shoulder? |

Suppressor threads on, just bottoms out on the threads or somewhere else (not the shoulder). |

Setup like these, it basically creates and artificial should that the suppresor would normally contact the barrel |

Wouldn't hurt to double check with QC10 but if it is, you are good to go. Silencerco piston on the left. AAC piston in the middle. Liberty piston on the right. You can see the Silencerco piston doesn't have an internal index (which is why their Glock 43 threaded barrel comes with a special piston that most likely does). The AAC and Liberty pistons do for indexing off the muzzle face. Internal Index = Inner Diameter Load Shoulder? So my suppressor piston is bottoming out via muzzle/ID shoulder instead of barrel shoulder and end of piston on suppressor? That ID shoulder on the AAC (I looked at mine as well, is identical) looks awfully thin compared to the Liberty piston. |

Page 2 of AAC's thread spec shows that they design their pistons for indexing on the muzzle. It may look thin, but it should work. |
