Hey All,

Now that I've been layed off and not working 60+ hours a week, I have finally had some time to get some much needed reloading done!

I've been reloading only 9mm for now untill I get about 5k in storage.     I had about 2500 Berry's 115gr RN Plated bullets and I'm down to about 250 left.

I was just going to go to Cabelas and buy whatever they got on the shelf (Which is usually 500-1000), but I've read the many posts from others about Precision Delta.

They are actually cheaper than the Berry's and they are FMJ's.   So I ordered 2k to try 'em out, but after a week I still didn't get any responce from them with a status.   I went ahead and called them today and was told there are ALOT of people ahead of me,  I asked "Days? Weeks? Months? Years?"   The lady that answered the phone wasn't sure.   She is suppose to call me back with an idea on how long.

Meanwhile, I still need to get some 9mm Bullets, so what other 9mm bullets do ya'll suggest?  and do you know if they are in-stock or what the lead time is?

Thanks,

-Masta

From one of my previous recent threads I settled on Montana Gold and others highly recommended Precision Delta http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=42&t=303825

Montana Gold has good prices and they don't seem to be as hopelessly behind and PD and Zero bullets.

PD runs batch production so its all about timing....Last bunch I ordered showed up in roughly 2 weeks....but admittedly it could have been 2 months.

Prices are hard to beat however

Montana Gold is used by many competitive shooters. If you buy in bulk, it's worth it. I don't bother unless I'm going to buy at least a case of each caliber.

Yes - I'm working through a couple thousand of that exact bullet at the moment.  I'm running a max load of 231 with them for use in the Uzi.  I tried a couple of slower powders, but the subgun seemed to like that one better.

How do they compare to other 9mm bullets?    What other bullets have you used?

How much 231 you use?    I've been running 4.8gr W231 with the Berry's 115gr RN bullets, seated at 1.11" OAL.

Good info, thanks.
Also I saw that Graf's had a 9mm 115 grain JHP, Prvi bullet for <$100 per-K. Never tried them but I have a box headed this way to try. Almost as cheap as most plated bullets. I also ordered the same type of Prvi bullet in 40 and 45 cal to give them a try. They look like a decent plinker at the very least....Ed

I also recommend Montana Gold. Great jacketed bullet for the price.  I love em, use 'em alot, in 9mm and other calibers.

I got 2K PD 9mm 115 about 2 weeks ago, they took about 6 weeks. Good bullets and cheap for FMJ. Just order well before you need them.

Well my PD bullets showed up today..  I was shocked,  I ordered them on 3/10/2010 and on 3/16/2010 they sent me an e-mail with an estimated ship date of 3-4 weeks.

So it really only took 17 days from the day I orderd them.   Not too bad.

Anyone loading these bullets using W231 powder?   I'm going to try loading them with my current 4.8gr load seated to 1.11" OAL.
