short vid The sound of a .45 cal fmj slug smacking an empty freeon can is actually louder than the report of the weapon Pros: light, quiet, can be indexed for poi, looks cool (which is all that really matters) Cons: none really its kinda long but other than that its hard to say, I dont have any experience with any other cans like this, so take all this with a grain of salt. purchased dec 20, 2011 arrived at my dealer feb 20, 2012 check cashed feb 28, 2012 pending ????? approved ????? stamp came back aug 19, 2012 |

Very nice setup! Do you think the raised sites make a very big difference? I'm not sure yet. When I hold it up flat where it would go on my 1911 and look down the sights, you can only see about a 16th of an inch of the can above the sights. Before I dish out any money for sights I'm gonna get the threaded barrel first and see if its even worth it messing with having them installed and all that. When I rest my USP upside down on something flat it seems the sights could be about an 1/8" lower and still do the job. Im leaning towards them not being necessary unless your shooting at something small like a pop can or something. |

You think I should get a 45 can anyways? Or stick with the 9mm cans? |

Who knows what deal you may come across or how your philosophy may change. To me its seems to add quite a bit of value after all the waiting and the money spent. |

Quoted: I'm not going to be in a position to get a pistol can for a while, but this was my exact thought process earlier this year when I bought a 762-SDN-6. I only had 5.56 and went in to buy an M4-2K. After seeing it next to an SDN-6, I bought the SDN-6 for ability to expand. It also catalyzed me to get into 300 BLK.Quoted: Quoted: well worth the (stupidly long wait), one of my favorite purchases. Quoted: I got a AAC Tirant 9! I always buy the can before I have a host for 'em...the process takes so long that before the can comes in, i have their hosts.
I would recommend shooting sub-caliber. In reality, a quality can like the AAC TiRant 45 will shoot 9mm as well as many dedicated 9mm cans. That having been said, I still plan on getting a 9mm can. |
