First off, I'm pretty new to the whole suppressor thing, but I've finally decided to try it out...
I have pretty much narrowed it down to the 762SD so I can use it on my .223 and my .308 rifles.. Couple of questions, Does the 762SD only come with the 18t setup? Does the Brakeout come in 18t or just 51t? Any info would be much appreciated.. |

Right now the 762SD only comes in the 18T setup. There is talk of switching it to the 51T setup but as of right now no time frame has been established for that.
The same thing goes for the breakout. RIght now they offer the 18T blackout flash suppressor and 18T muzzle break, and they are saying that in the future they will be making the breakout in 18T but there is no timeline. AAC is moving to a new manufacturing plant that is apparently a lot bigger than where they are right now, so hopefully turn around and availability will be a lot better in a couple of months. I have a form 4 out for a 762SD for the same purposes you do. I will be putting it on a POF 415 p12x, a remington LTR .308, an M1a, and an HK 91. Hopefully it will be back any day now! No worries about the 18T. I am not sure why everyone is so up on the 51T mount for that can. When I put the suppressor on my guns they seemed to mount extremely well. I have not shot it yet though, but I have heard very few owners complain about the 18T mount. If you have any questions I'd contact Mark at www.politesocietyinc.com. I purchased mine from him and he was extremely helpful! In my opinion he is the best class III dealer in the state of Georgia! Hope this helps! |

Thanks for the replies,
I have nothing against the 18t mounts, just hoping I would be able to use the brakeout instead of the blackout on my ACR and AR15's.. Since it sounds like they will be releasing a 18t brakeout in the future I'll probably just get a blackout mount while I wait.. What is a good price for the 762SD's btw..?? the local shop is selling them for MSRP (around $850) |

Call mark at polite society and ask what he wants for them. I think I paid less than that but I cant be sure. If he does not have any in stock you may want to call Byron at Major Malfunction. From what I understand he has excellent prices. The only downside is that you have to wait for the form 3 transfer on top of the form 4 transfer. That might actually be exactly what they wanted here too... |

I dont really mind paying that, if its not a totally outrageous price.. + I'll gladly pay a little extra to knock down the waiting time... |
