ACH-ARC Kit and Bungees
Im thinking about getting this for my up coming deployment but want to know how good are they and what kind of a camera would be good to use so i can get some good combat footage. |
The GoPro HD HERO is another option that some people prefer. They make a mount for the camera that interfaces with standard helmet NVG adapters:
VIDEO 1 VIDEO 2 THESE GUYS make a picatinny rail adapter for the GoPro, and GoPro themselves make a whole mess of mounts for different applications. |

Contour makes a pic rail adapter; it's plastic and a bit on the cheesy side but works most of the time. The Contours tubular profiles makes it less obtrusive and much more "wearable". Tactical Distributors carries the Contour and is having a 20% off sale. True, the Contour HD has a similar profile to a handheld flashlight. The GoPro would be very easy to snag on something if it were anywhere but on the front of the helmet (which, if you have NVGs, is a no-go). |

If you get the ach arc rail get the special mount if you are going to run the contour, best in terms of low profile instead of using the picatiny mount on a rail segment on the arc-rail
I got my contourHD as a lightning deal on amazon for $90, I've heard that since then a similar deal has been offered for the Roam variant as well Test video of Contour on low quality setting mounted with ops core mount on an ops core helmet |
