I am planning on ordering one of the Mossberg 590 factory AOW. I work at a dealer, so I will not have to deal with the transfer fees. I understand the process as I already have multiple NFA items. My question is, once I own it, can I further reduce the barrel length? I wanted to do around an 10" barrel, but was not sure if it had to stay the 14" factory length.

Never, ever add a rifled barrel to a smooth bore "shotgun" style AOW. Unless it's a .410, now you've gone from a smooth bore handgun (AOW) to a rifled bore handgun with a bore over 0.5" (Destructive Device - and an untaxed/unregistered one at that!). FWIW, Mike |
