I am interested in getting an AOW.
Is there a thread that can walk me thru it, or someone that has recently done the steps? |

+1. The process and the forms are exactly the same as either making (Form 1) or buying (Form 4) any other NFA item.
The only difference is that buying an existing, registered AOW (Form 4) is only $5, instead of $200. But to make (Form 1) an AOW, it still costs $200, just like anything else. |

Thank you Sir, you gave me the info I needed. So I need to fill out a Form 4, get fingerprinted, photos, and a CLEO signature, and send it all to the ATF with $5, right? |

The only difference is that on the Form 4 in Box 1, Type of Transfer, you check "$5" instead of "$200". Otherwise, you fill out the Form 4 the same way you would for any other NFA item. |
