I won an AR50 in the team member raffle but I can't take delivery because of the CA .50 bmg ban. So I am looking for options. Can it be rechambered or rebarrelled to .510dtc or some other caliber? That would be CA legal. Barretts site says that they don't do rebarrelling. How about Serbu, EDM or even Armalite? Anyone know? Can I rent space in someone's out of state safe? Anyone want to hold my rifle until I retire and move? Yeah, I didn't think so. LOL! I could of course sell it. I have been to the Armalite site and Gunbroker, I know what full suggested retail is. What would be a fair price? Anyone looking for a new in box AR50? California SUCKS! |

The problem is that it will say .50 BMG on the receiver so you won't find any dealers willing to accept it. You're better off selling it and then using the money to buy a serbu in 50 DTC or some other rifle that you want. I can't understand why Armalite won't make some of the AR-50's in DTC. I guess that goes the same for Barrett, guess they stuck themselves with the .416.

Armalite sells the AR50 for (MSRP) $2,999 Larry Knesek is selling the Armalite AR50 for $2,510. He also sells an AR50 kit for $2,600. AR50 rifle Prince Bipod Model Ex 3200 Armalite 1 piece rings and mount 30mm Ex 0022 AR50 cleaning kit CP 1805 Scope of your choice at dealer cost If I were you I would see if you could work out some sort of swap with Larry for a Barrett M99-416. ![]() www.knesekguns.com/price.php#1 |
