i mounted the arms mount and rings on my fulton m1a m14 over the weekend. i tried to zero the scope and have some fun so i headed to my neighbors back yard (100 yd range). i have a leupold 4.5-14 scope mounted and it appears that you only have two possible mounting positions available due to the lug that locks into the lower mount. i tried both positions and every other shot the brass when ejecting would jam against the lower mounting bracket. any ideas? i am kind of frustrated i spent over 200 bucks for what is rated one of the top three mounts for the m14 and had zero fun at the range.

If feasible, move the rings to the extreme ends of the mount, and rotate them so that the QD levers are on the shooter's left (away from ejection port).  IOW, try to clear the ejection port of anything obstructing it.

the locking rings are on the left side and the ring mounts are at the far ends of the lower reciever.

Try shooting with just the mount in place, and no rings at all.  If you have no problems, try a different set of rings, perhaps Leupold QRWs, with rings mounted as I described above.  Such an arrangement has worked for me with my ARMS mount.
