Hi all,
I recently purchase a used ARTII sniper scope for my Springfield M1A.  The mount holes don't line up with the holes on my gun.  Seems the back right hole is off by a couple millimeters.  My gun came with the springfield mount and springfield scope and those mount perfectly.  I am guessing that these ARTII scopes were made for the older M1As and not the newer ones.  Also, there is a screw nut on the bottom of the mount that would rub against the rear site even if I could mount it.  Can anyone give me any more information on these scopes and where I can purchase the proper dovetail mount for my gun.  I tried putting the scope on my springfield mount, which worked, but the scope has that older/worn look and doesn't match up well with the new black finish on my springfield mount.  Also, I don't know how the ARTII scopes work.  Thanks for any help or if you can point me in the right direction.
