Any one esle waiting for Richard Thompson to finish their AR 45 lower. He has had mine since October. In Jan he promised two weeks. Now he does not return phone calls or email. When I spoke to him he said he had several to finish and had just gotten busy.
I guess my next move is to contact the local prosecutor. |

Simple issue really. Machine shops don't want to take up time from a production schedule to finish machinea just a couple of lowers. No profit in doing just a couple at a time and then changing set up for another production run of something else. Machinists gotta eat too. Sucks but there it is.
Just do it yourself with a CNC jig on a drill press. You can open up the magwell with a drill, saber saw and a file. AR45's been screwed over or left hanging by: DeGroat- after 6 months admitted they didn't even have a 01 FFL and couldn't find insurance Ameetec- Stole my prototype Khalan- took up to 2 years to deliver the last customer lower and most were out of spec And a couple others that contacted me but didn't follow up with a deal. Been looked, considered for production or outright rejected by: DPMS Spikes Tactical ASA Olympic Arms This is a cutthroat industry. |
| I have one done by Khalan & it took a year to get it back. Would've been a total loss if not for Tangochaser doing his best to see that we got our lowers. The best way would be if Justin at CNC could do completely finished lowers, but I don't see that happening. Bazooka Bros. is probably the best alternative, but I can't say that for sure, as I don't have one of theirs. Thanks Bill |

Wow, I had no idea about the problems with ordering these. Mine was number 11 from the first batch. I guess the ONLY batch that came through without a hitch. I wouldn't say that. I was #3 on the first batch and Khalan drilled my buffer detent hole too far to the rear. |
