I just received my AR SBR back from my gunsmith, and have already received the paperwork and stamp from the BATFE.  I was wondering if there are any suggestions on where I could send the lower to get the required engraving done?  I live in South Florida, but would be more than willing to send the stripped lower to any reasonably priced place around the country.

I use Ident Marking and find them to do a great job. Another popular option is Orion Arms. I don't think you will go wrong with either.
I like that these places can put the engraving under the trigger guard, which is where I prefer to have mine engraved.

FWIW, AJI Machining in Hialeah will do it for $25, while you wait. I haven't had any done there, but they are a licensed 07 manufacturer and I've heard they do excellent work. http://www.ajimachining.com/

I also had mine done at a trophy shop, it was cheap, like ten bucks or something. It wasn't the first rifle he engraved, he knew what he was doing.

I was going to use the local trophy shop until I heard by someone that a friend of a friend on the internet said they heard that the finish on a Spikes Tactical lower "chipped" easy if not ingraved by a professional.

Any truth to that, I don't know.

I sent mine off to Ident also.  They were really nice on the phone, answered all my questions, called me back promptly, etc.  I trust them to do a 110% great job and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

And, they gave me the best price to engrave beneith the trigger area.  In matter of fact, their price beat the others by 40% and they didn't require me to strip the lower, just remove the trigger/hammer group.

I do my own engraving with a hand held engraver. I don't give a shit if it looks perfect or not, it's the right depth and has the right info on the weapon.

I used a trophy shop on my spikes lower. It cost $10 and didn't chip. I'm very pleased.
