I'm having 2 problems with disassembly (thus far) of my AXR.  I shot 200 rounds through it yesterday for the 1st time.

The control stud will not push down.  Prior to shooting yesterday I field stripped it and had no problem with this.

I can not pull the gas crown out now or the 1st time I field stripped it.

Before applying much force to either of these instructions I wanted to get some advice.

Thank you.

What is a "control stud"?

Are you talking about the barrel latch button, or maybe the cross latch for the stock?

If the piston cap will not move it is probably just carboned up, put some penetrating oil on it to get it apart and leave it dry when you reassemble.

The AXR manual calls the button in the bolt which is pushed down to allow bolt removal the control stud

Just got off the phone with TPD (great guy) and problem solved.

He had me tap it with a hammer.
