This has perplexed me from day one...I have to be missing something.
AUG piston setup....not much different than an M14 or an AR-18. All have a piston within a cylinder. The AR-180 and the M14 ( and a dozen others ) drive the piston back home with the op rod. Why does the AUG need a spring? The op rod works pretty much the same way..... so.........WHY the piston spring? Anyone ever run an AUG without it? |
