I have been thinking about picking up a DSA FAL for some time now and I have a question about free-float handuards on the FAL.

What, if any, gains are seen in the accuracy of a DSA FAL with the addition of their free float handguards? I am thinking about a 16" barrel with full length gas system and then adding the FF handguard. Will there be any gains with this set up?

Thanks,
Matt

IMHO only if you tend to sling up tightly. Try 18" for more velocity and less flash, and their medium contour bbl (if I did not already have a nice Imbel 21" shooting 2.5" no matter what I feed it). Spend the $$ on an AR rear aperture with no wobble from VOW, and/or a weaver dust cover instead.

More to be gained by a tight head space, better sights, tight upper/lower receiver fit, trigger job...then maybe a free float.
