With a good torch I never knew how easy it was to see fish in the water for the first 5"-6" in depth.
While they were trolling/feeding tonight I saw dozens, some catfish in the 6 to 8 pound range !

Unlike a white light  a great IR torch with NV  makes the fish show up a lot better and my cloudy brown water was clear down to 6" using IR.
I am using a  TNVC Torch Pro which is stellar compared to my other units.
If I had a net with long handle I could have just scooped some of the fish right from the water. :)

I have found that it work's very well on fish with reflective skin, but not so great on turtles and snakes. What type of fish were you seeing?

Yeah I found that out a couple of weeks ago as well while trolling in a little bass boat hunting beavers. Had my TNV/PVS-14 helmet mounted and was shining my M952V down in the water. I could see several bass at least a foot or so under the surface! Very cool!

Most were Catfish and Alligator Gar. There was another smaller fish I could not identify.
This was just a few hours after sunset , others might be feeding later on.
Fresh water creek but not enough clean running water for Crappie or Bass.
Some would consider it a bayou.

That would just be too much fun.
Entertainment and a great meal all at the same time! :)
