I know Surefire and Insight.

Fenix and 4Sevens is 100% Chinese. However, good stuff anyway.

Streamlight... I don't really own a lot of theirs, except a few TLR-1's and a TLR-3. Those all said "Designed and assembled in USA." Sort of like uh... GM, I guess...

What's really good is if you can find a old Maglight with the serial number beginning with D and convert it with the Malkoff insert.Basically 200 Lumens at least running off some D Cell Batteries.

I use to hit the surefire lights pretty hard. But realized that LED tech was advancing so fast that I was wasting money.

I picked up a tlr1-s for my XDm but have been looking for some pocket lights again. I will have to check out Elzetta.

I checked out elzetta and really am digging their low pro with hi/strobe tailcap. Can you buy the tail caps separate?

So for US made its surefire, insight, elzetta, and kinda streamlight. Im assuming from the above post that streamlights parts are made elsewhere. Anyone know about inova?

Yes, Elzetta is the only manufacturer to offer all Flashlight components individually for complete modularity.  You can order Bezels, Malkoff LED Modules, Bodies, and Tailcaps to suit your needs.  All components are fully interchangeable.

All components are available on this webpage: http://www.ELZETTA.com/Webpages/order_online.htm (scroll down for components).

Maglite has nice small LED lights XL200, XL100.  Very cheap too and USA made.

Elzetta 2-Cell Lights may be used with RCR123 rechargeable batteries or a 17670 rechargeable battery.  For critical uses, however, stick with 123A Lithium batteries.

Agreed. I've always thought it made a lot more sense to use regular CR123A batteries in a weapon light. Save the rechargeables for your every day use lights.
