If it's OK to shoot the surplus, it will be OK to shoot the newer ammo. At least with a 8mm, the newer ammo is not as hot as the surplus. Newer alloys are better suited to shooting than many of the older rounds that used steel or phospher Bronze for armour piercing. I treat every shooting as the ammo may be corrosive especially for Russian ammo bulk packed for you never know what may have got mixed in. |
