I figure since this is a M1A specific question I'll start here.
I came across some CCI #34 primers and Winchester 748 Ball Powder today locally so I picked some up. Has anybody used this combo for the M1A? Can you share your load? I'm just getting into the reloading aspect of things. I plan on reusing some once fired Winchester Q3130 brass I have on hand and want to go with a HPBT bullet. Just not sure what grain bullet or how much powder. Thanks in advance. |

Sir,
First off, most guys are very reluctant to post their loads on the interwebs. They aren't being a$$es, they just don't like the possible liability aspect of doing that. Secondly you should visit the Reloading Forum here. Very knowledgeable bunch of people over there. Last, but not least, they will tell you(especially if your new to this) get a copy of The ABC's of Reloading and memorize it. I'm sure you'll get lots of answers by doing the above. Good Luck and Stay Safe. |

Thanks in advance. you can use that...a magnum primer with single base ball powder might be a good combo http://www.handloads.org/loaddata/default.asp?Caliber=308+Winchester&Weight=All&type=Rifle even has a suggested starting load if that dont wark, here be another http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp |

Everyone has their own favorite load.
You could try my match load for the 7.62 Nato: LC brass, trimmed to 2.005", 168 gr. BTHP (Hornady or Sierra), 42 gr. Win. 748, Fed. 210 LR primer. COAL = 2.80“. Make your adjustment for your components. Start low and work your way up. Aloha, Mark |
