i just got a preban reciever and its got a grey colored hard coat on it. i was going to strip it and have the lower and a stag upper anodized.
i was wondering if anyone knew if there would be a difference in color between the cast lower reciever and my forged upper reciever? |

I was recently in the same boat, I am in NY and picked up a grey colt preban lower to go with a new Noveske MUR (hard anodize) upper. I wasn't too happy with my expensive 2 tone build, so I did some research and ended up sending Norrell an email. The owner (John) sent me back an informative email, which convinced me to go with his product (flat black) and just refinish the preban lower. The thing came out awesome , it matches so well that everyone that I have shown it to thinks it is factory build  .
All it cost was $28 for the norrells molly coat, $8 for 2 cans of brake degreaser and a few hours to take it apart, spray it (with an airbrush), bake it in the oven and put it back together (3.5 hrs with an hour in the oven). |
