It seems like I have used this forum more the last couple weeks than the last few years.

I am having issues with my powder die on my Dillion 550.  It seems that every once in a while, I am getting a rifle case mouth ripped while going into the powder die or it is throwing powder prematurely and spilling not into the case.  I am loading 223.  I haven't had this issue before but have recently set up my press to reload 223 again.  The case mouth is not out of shape prior to going into the die, I have watched the mouths of the case prior to going into the die.

I am getting fed up!

sounds like you have the dreaded Wobbles.  Loosen the set screw on the left side of the ram, rotate the shell plate until it turns the shell plate bolt along with it and binds, then back off 1/16th of a turn then retighten the set screw on the left side of the ram

Is it possible that you have the powder funnel upside-down? The powder funnel goes inside the powder measure, and is the part that the case actually touches.

Got it fixed.  It was the dreaded wobbles.  A guys head just can't think straight some days at 11pm to sort things out.

Thanks everyone!
