Basically what's in the title

I do not have a powder thrower and my only way to (currently) load up plinking rounds "fast" (not that I'm rushing) is the Lee Powder Scoop that came with my dies.

It throws 22.4gr of Benchmark according to Lee, but most data for 55gr bullets starts around 23.0 grains.

The theoretical load would be 22.4gr of Benchmark with a 55gr Hornady SP or FMJ in a once fired case.

Anyone see anything wrong with that?

Thanks.

You should be fine with that combo.

just a little under is ok. but going waaayyy under is a bad idea, it can lead to higher pressures as well

Allow me to be more specific:   You have to be careful going under minimum with jacketed pistol bullets because of the danger of the pressure not pushing the bullet out of the barrel.

You also have to be careful with certain powders which don't burn well in reduced loadings.

Your listed combo should be fine.
