| I changed mine out for bigger thumb screws, you can tighten/loosen them with your fingers. They also have a hex drive in the head if you want to tighten them down further or loosen them up. You can check at your local hardware store, take the stock bolt with you and then ask them if they carry any thumb screws. What makes them different is they have an extented head that's knurled so that you can tighten/loosen them with your fingers. |

Yep. APA makes one of those quick release buttplate adjusters. I don't think Armalite advertises it on their site but Larry (owner of APA) had one on his AR-50 if memory serves at the FCSA World Match this summer. Allows you to adjust much more quickly than working the screws.

| After looking at the carrying handle, there isn't anyway in hell I would put that huge ugly ass piece of bent up round bar on my rifle. If that's their best then I will pass on buying one at this time. Don't care for their monopod either, the Prince design is still the best of the bunch that's out there. |

Having used both the Prince and the APA Monopod...the APA is the cat's ass in comparison. I'm not a huge fan of big carryhandles myself either. Never left mine on my State Arms Shorty when I had one of those. The best way to carry a 50 BMG rifle...is with a pickup truck. -David Edgewoodd, NM |
