I am looking to refinish my ar in a light silver/ brushed aluminum color.  Does anyone know of a company that will refinish guns in this color?  I would like the coating to be heat resistant and very durable.

have you looked at duracoat's colors, they have a lot, and some cool silverish greys

They have colors, but are lacking in overall durability.  DC is a Sherwin Williams two part paint called Polane T.  I'm not sure how much experience you have with what you are recommending, but I would encourage the poster to look at Norrells and KG.  Both will hold up better, spray easier, have better solvent resistance, and give a better overall look.

I've seen a few people who have used DC and ended up with a nice finish, but by and large, most DC finished weapons do not have a factory finish look.

I don't think duracoat is intended to look completely factory, from what they say it's supposed to be unique and it seems duracoat people could argue durability, but I'll say this, to me there seems to be a differece in finish between what the duracoat people and a few duracoat finishers can do, and what the common person often achieves.
Not suggesting I could do better than the common person, but a lot of duracoat finishes I see in my opinion don't do the duracoat people's finishes justice.

Metaloy Industries has their TactiKote Finish in silver.

How durable is a Metaloy finish?  Also, has anyone ever used Robar?

Thanks
