Just don't confuse the armasight 40/whatever with the BNVD-SG (completely different manufacturer, different housing). Had one guy here jump all over me cause his buddy was waiting on a BNVD-SG back when lead times were long- and his buddy wasn't even charged till it shipped- and the guy stated "I got a bnvd in a few weeks."   He had bought the armasight deal which is NOT the same!  He came to find that out later when he was posting complaining about his proprietary lenses used in the armasight model that it was NOT the same thing.

It's like the "all PVS14s are the same" idea- no they are not! Big variables in tubes, glass, housing, etc. You got to pay attention to these things.

I actually was replying to that FB post earlier in the week. Its a fair deal, (and the fact that he dropped Mark's name - I can confirm I did work with Mark on my RMA, as well) means he is probably telling the truth and it isn't cobbled together, so it was likely assembled correctly and collimated/purged. The BNVD-40 housing is an AGM Global housing and as mentioned above - it is not the significantly more expensive NVD BNVD (https://www.nvdevices.com/product/bnvd-night-vision-binocular/).

AGM's BNVD-40 is better than the 50. It is heavy and bulky and the optics aren't as good as mil spec PVS-14, but that being said, it is completely usable and is a solid deal at that price. The tubes are Gen 2+ HD, so they might even be legit photonis tubes. I mean for me... if that is your budget, its a toss up between Gen 3 Anvis goggles or that BNVD-40. At 3k-ish, you're getting a lot of bang for buck out of either system.
