I bought the XS Sight Systems Big Dot Tritium for a Remington 870. I'm cutting down the barrel so I need to install a new bead. The kit includes a #6 bead.
XS Sights Is a Weaver Drill and Tap Set with #32 Drill and 6-48 Thread Tap the correct drill and tap? Midway Drill and Tap I appreciate the assistance! |

I haven't seen that XS sight- does it install over the bead?
When I installed a new bead on a cut down '97, I bought a kit from Brownells that included the bead, drill, and tap. There are a few different thread sizes/pitches, so you have to make sure that you get the correct tap to match the bead. I installed an XS sight on my Mossy 500, but it threaded right into the original hole. |
