The ss109 that feeds AUGs natively is tamer than the m855 we use in the US. Is using the hotter m855 in an Aug a concern? Along the same lines, what about over functioning or battering issues with a Aug with the added back pressure of using a suppressor? And the worst case scenario of using m855 in a suppressed Aug?

Thanks in advance!

The xm855 you buy from federal is the same m855 the mil uses.  Ss109 is the projectile not the round.

I get that, but it's my understanding that the Austrian ss109 is loaded lighter than our m855. Hence my post.

It will all work fine, of course the AUG is not the quietest host to suppress. I've put a suppressor on my AUG and it worked just fine. Of course my AR-15 with the same suppressor is quieter.
