I would really like to buy one of these and have been waiting about 4 months for them to come into stock at SKD Tactical. My patience is nearly gone and so I am starting to research other options. Anyone else sell something like these? |

hey dont get pissy because SKD doesnt have them instock... the BALS is proprietary to them and the manufacturer is the hold up.
if your patience is nearly gone, why dont you make some Beanbags of your own, market them and sell them... theres nothing stopping you from doing so.

Wow was that necessary? 4 months is a good long time to wait.
He was just asking if there were other options. I have seen other bean bags around, but not quite the same setup as the BALS. I would give SKD a holler and see if there is a ETA for them, and if not look elsewhere if you do not want to wait indefinitely. |

If he's waited 4 months that would be more than enough impetus for me to go out and investigate the MAKE instead of BUY option SKD has been very good about comms and if during this time the OP has not attempted direct communication, I think its quite obvious where the break is. That said, dont read anything more into it or get so thin-skinned - the OP opened the door and I gave him yet another option to investigate |

As far as making something... sure, I could try but I know my limitations and realize that it wouldnt be as high a quality as the BALS. With all due respect, it is not our SOP to "say" we don't know it... it is simply that we DO NOT KNOW IT- lol. We have nearly a dozen emails into our OEM manufacturer regarding the availability of this product, and we just heard positive news today on our months-old order. I'll put it to you this way, if you haven't already submitted a notification request for this product, I suggest you do so immediately. When it comes in stock, we have a specific person who is responsible for blasting out notification requests, and she is very good about it 
Finally, I understand your frustration. We are just as well versed as being on your side of the "counter" as we are as being behind it. This company was founded with the idea that we want to treat customers the way we want to be treated ourselves... so we understand. But until you walk in these shoes for a day and see what we have to go through and put up with from manufacturers to get our stuff made, you will just never really understand what it takes to try and keep these things on our shelves. So please drop the idea that we are somehow party to the vast nylon conspiracy to deny you and others of their gear. I had a hand in the design of this patented product, and it is a great seller for our company, so trust me when I say that... I WANT THIS BACK IN STOCK MORE THAN YOU DO
