Friend tole me today that a BSA rep had given them a demo on a scope that put out some sort of light for low light optics by I would guess a green illuminator. Anyone know what this is or a forum topic link. Said it does some of the same things NV scope do but in a different way.

Sounds like a BSA scope mounted in conjunction with something similar to a laser genetics green laser illuminator like in the this link.  In other words, a combination of puke optics and a VERY VERY visible illuminator.  While it would help one see in the dark, this is not night vision.  Every BSA scope I've looked through had ridiculous edge distortion and clear as mud optics.  If I were you I would not consider this as an option.

Not an option. Just wondering if the market is coming on for better illuminators to be used with scopes for low light. Or if this was somehing new. I understand how NVGs work with illuminators sending an invisible spectrum that cant be seen wit the eye. Im guessing this one uses a gren visible spectrum and a regular scope.
