Has anyone here had any exp. w/a BSA Red Dot on their 10/22? I was looking at them instead of changing my sights to the Hi Viz light pipes.

If you mean the one that Walmart sells for about $30, I have one as one of several optional sight systems for a dedicated .22 AR. I like it, it's well worth the money. My only complaint is that its brightest setting, turned up "to eleven" (literally), it is none too bright for a real sunny day. If it's bright out, the dot is visible but doesn't quite glow or stand out as I'd expected.

I like the thing and shoot the gun with that on it quite a bit. I'd say it's worth its modest price, and will help you decide if you like the whole red dot concept without tying up a whole buttload of money.

I bought one. Tried to sight it in and it ran out of adjustment before being on target. It was two inches to the right and one inch low. Took it back the same day.

I appreciate the feedback, I kinda expected what I'm hearing. A 29.99 dollar red dot is a 29.99 dollar red dot. may wait and go with the Bushnell Trophy, or just put Hi Viz light pipes on it.

I had one and hated it. The dot was oblong and blurry. One the other side I bought a second hand Tasco Red Dot and it's not bad.

I have three of these and have not had any problems with any of them yet. Two of them are multi reticle like thisand one is a single dot like this.
