| On 12/29 i back ordered some mags from midway, has anyone else been waiting? Also, do you know if part of my order comes do they do multiple shipments? |
|
I have some ordered from brownell's a week or so before Christmas. they sent out an email saying that they are not going to cancel any orders, they will ship in order of purchase date, and they were in constant contact with 'major distributors' (magpul) and they would keep me posted.
Not sure how midway is handling it. I did hear that magpul is around a million pmags back ordered. Thus the reasoning for only black being available right now as far as I know. |

The reason im worried is i ordered a few mags for diff guns...all had different expected instock dates. I hope they dont hold shipping my order 3 months because thats the latest date of one of themags. Midway will automatically break up the order and ship stuff as it becomes available. If you were able to place the order they will get it out to you, usually shipped even before the back-in-stock date. |

That makes me extremely happy to hear! But, they will charge shipping each time, usually no more than $4 to $7 depending on the weight. On small packages, they ship via Mail Innovations. If you have 8 different items backordered, they will not ship all 8 separately as they become available. They may break it up into two or three parcels if the back in stock time is too long between the items. I've ordered lots of stuff from them and that is how they have always done it for me. They have never advertised an item as backorder only and not delivered, regardless of how difficult the item was to find. |
| Don't get too excited. I ordered 3 scar17 mags pre newtown and two days ago they sent me an email saying since there is so much demand since I ordered they are limiting mag orders to 2. Nice retro active punishment MIDWAY.Apparently the more new orders that come in, the more you will get your long standing orders restricted. In a few weeks they may restrict it to 1 or maybe just the spring so they can serve all the new panic buyers. Really bad policy. Not something I will forget soon. Beware guys. |

Keep in mind that they have a right to do this, and a huge part of it is to keep other businesses from buying them and reselling at a ridiculous profit. In these times, if a company is going to sell at a fair price, their only option is to limit quantities per customer. It's not because they don't want you to have 10 or 20 or 100 of them, but to keep the market fair. Basically, if they didn't limit quantities, NOBODY would get ANY for a decent price, but you could have as many as you want for $50 or more per mag from the people who would be reselling them. |
| I have pre orded some as well plus ammo.. I placed order all at once the shipping price was $24 bucks thats all they charge for the shipping doesnt matter if they ship one mag at a time or all at once.. They may charge a few bucks per order they ship to you but it will not be more then the shipping total you agreed to when checking out. |

That makes perfect sense, especially with the quantity of mags or other high demand parts. |

Don't get you hopes up...
One million Magpul Pmags back ordered |
|
I have a couple of magazines for a CZ 527 on backorder. First it was 1/09, then 1/12, then 1/16, now 1/25 and you can't place a new order for any...since they haven't sent me a cancellation notice, I assume my order is still open, though there's no telling when I might actually get 'em.
Woulda thought 5 round magazines could be in such high demand? |

I had some PMAG's (MOE w/ Window) that they were sitting on because the regular Pmag M3's were not in yet. I went into the order and basically had them pulled out and shipped separately. |

They probably are not in high demand. Its just that everybody is only producing the high capacity stuff now. That puts your stuff on the back burner. IMHO. CZ doesn't make high-capacity magazines. |

they're limiting filling orders to try & serve everyone (somewhat); there's vendors online that will
ship you what you pay for when they get em'; more and more vendors are doing just what Midway is doing, trying to get everyone they can some of their order. I called em today cause I have a BCG comming in Thursday; someone online this morning said they got a text message saying Midway was not going to ship anything that MIGHT get banned soon; turned out not to be true. MR Low post count from CO; don't start beating on Midway; CTD & others gouged alot sooner & harder in the last panic, as well as this one; if you think everyone is going to sell you what you want, when you want it, then you'd better get used to being disappoionted; I had to search 6 or 7 vendors just to get some 8 round mags for a 9mm pistol I just bought; the guys I got them from didn't markem' up for the panic, just kept up with normal good customer service. If anyone wants to pay $50 for a Pmag, that's their choice; it's not a crime, it's supply & demand. virtually ANYTHING related to an AR, AK ect.,, is hit & miss so far as ordering. Those late to the party will just have to pay the stoopid tax & wait in line. IMHO, Ammo is going to be in VERY tight supply for at least 6-8 months; the guberment is going to put pressure on the mfgrs. not to get back up to speed as soon as they normally would. During the last ammo shortage there was still a pretty good war going on, now that's not a reason not to have ammo on the shelves. Good luck, but remember you should'a bought stuff BEFORE the election, not after. don't be fooled,Romney may have done the same thing. IMHO |

don't be fooled,Romney may have done the same thing. IMHO People forget that GW Bush also stated that he would sign a renewed AWB if it crossed his desk. One never did, but it goes to show that a Republican President would sell us down the river just as quickly as a Democrat. |

It's about time....
I just tried to backorder a few magazines, and it now just plainly states that backorder is not available for any mags out of stock. Bummer. Last I heard, Mecgar had outstanding orders exceeding 1 million magazines and I suspect many Midway customers will be waiting a long time for their magazines. |
