Can someone in here tell me which Powders are pure Ball Powders?
Which producer is making only ball powder respectively which sorts are? Need help. |

We do know, but there are so many. It's like asking which cars come with automatic transmissions. Lots of them....
Almost al winchester powders are ball. Hodgdon 110; 380, 335, and 414 come to mind. The easiest way is to look at the powder manufacturer websites. Ramshot powders are spherical. All IMR powders were extruded, probably still are. |

From Ramshot, True Blue works great in 9mm and 45 ACP. The small balls of powder will roll around on your bench if you spill some.
Again from Ramshot, Tac. A very fine ball powder for 223, 30-30, and 308. Other good ball powders for 223, BLC2, H-335, AA-2230, and W-748. But Tac is my favorite. |

For .223 I've used TAC, W748, XT and BL-C2, all ball powders. I've heard good things about H335 as well. What you decide to use can be affected by what bullet weight you use.
I reload 9mm not .45 but I understand that W321, which I do use, is also good for .45 as well. I really like it for 9s. |

Thanks for answering so far. The Powder Measure of my new 550 throws up to +/- 0,2gr. addicted to the powder I use (VV). My idea was, that this must become better with bally powder, so I want to try that.  Viht powders are awesome and meter pretty good. I had good luck with H335 for .223. |

Accurate Powers #2,5,7 and 9 are all very fine ball type pistol powders that meter well. They also have some excellent ball type powders for rifle as well, AA 2230, AA 2200, AA 2460, AA 2520, AA 2700 and MagPro.

Checked out what "spherical" means. Actually it is not "round". So I´m not sure if it is able to help with a more constant throw of my powder measure. P S: Thanx to EWP All of the true spherical and the flattened spherical gunpowders flow through a drum type powder measure with ease and accuracy. |
