Can one of you guys with an APC9 measure the distance from the muzzle, to the rear of the receiver for me? I'm on the verge of ordering one, and I'm trying to figure out if the place that did my engraving on my MCX receiver can do the APC9. Their laser cabinet didn't look real big, so I'd like to know if the APC will fit, or if I'll have to send it out for engraving.
TIA! |

Thanks, This is was I was wanting to know. I don't really want to do it on the side. Just needed to see the bottom of the rail has the room.

I posted this in the GHM9 thread also. Anyone know if there would be any issues mounting a Surefire Ryder MP5 suppressor to the GHM9 or the APC9? The attachment collar on it is a little different than other 3-lug suppressors. Just want to make sure there is enough clearance.

Cross posting this a bit. Just got my first B+T gun. A P26!!! Damn I love this thing.
I have some white paint on my front sight, it's not a big deal. I'm curious if anyone else has theirs like this or if the first owner did it. The serialized frame also has a different serial than the upper parts. The lower reads P26000"X"R upper is US16-20"XXX". I'm curious if the "R" is for repair somehow? Either way I'm super happy to have this in my collection. |

Does anyone sell spare parts for the APC9? I would like to get a spare safety lever as I’m a southpaw it digs into my left hand bad. Also maybe a spare bolt or extractor or other small parts?
|
|
|
There is a company making a safety delete that i used to get rid of my right hand lever, as it dug in bad.
https://hbindustries.net/store/product-category/bt-products/ you may contact them and see if they can do one for the left side, or if this one might work. |

Sometimes I hate this place. Ordered an APC9 today, hopefully it shows up early next week. And after watching some youtube videos, I'm pretty certain I'll be into an APC9SD early next year. I think I'll hold off for the PRO SD, but I will most likely get the can and start the paperwork for that right after the holidays. I need to be picking up some OT.

I just got the approved Form 1 for my APC9.
What is the consensus on where is the best place for discreet NFA engraving? |
|

Tarheel State Firearms laser engraved mine in the bottom of the forearm next to “B&T USA”, you have to be looking for it to notice it.

Just shot my apc9 sbr with the factory folder and was suprised how much sharper the recoil was compared to my full size mp5 sbr with a2 stock...anyone else notice this? I know the mp5 was smooth but shooting them side by side is really noticable.

Its hard to describe by typing...ill look into it but we are talking 50% more recoil with a hydro buffered system...should be a little smoother imo. Even compared to my sbr zenith z5-p.

I have to say I am dying to get to the range now to test these APC9SD's out. I will give a short range report after that takes place. Unfortunately it probably won't be this weekend because they are predicting snow. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/121296/B_T_wall_120518-762212.jpg View Quote |

Wow that wall keeps getting better. Which in itself is amazing.
You deserve to be first in line for the VP9 to round out your collection! |

The reality is I need neither and will probably keep my B&T collection just as it is for quite some time. (my B&T USW is not shown... it is now on my pistol display wall). View Quote |

I'm a lefty also so just remove the safety and block sand it down to your comfort level. Others that have looked at mine can not even tell I modded the safety lever.

Very Nice
I love the look of the Omega 9SD on it. I too have found that B&T is pretty liberal with the Loctite at the factory. |

I moved the front rails from the rear position to the front and moved the new B&T angled fore grip a little farther back. I felt this gives the most comfortable hand position. All that is left now is a range test. I have to admit getting rid of all of the unsightly remains of the Loctite from the where the rear rail was removed was a pain in the butt. I would have never been able to do it without that Loctite clean up solvent. It still took a lot of effort and very careful clean up to make sure I did not damage the original finish. Below is a close up picture of the final product. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/121296/B_T_APC9SD-766830.jpg View Quote |

But it may be too light for my liking. I believe it has the heavier hammer spring, but there was only one included, so I cant be sure until I check with Geissele. |

I couldn’t fight it any longer, I added an APC9SD with a B&T SD suppressor to the fold and got to pick up the gun yesterday afternoon and even got a crappy picture of the gun and suppressor consummating they’re relationship before my dealer took the suppressor away to the safe. I added an Aimpoint Micro and a SB Tactical Brace when I got it home and then bored my wife to death with the disassembly presentation and lecture on how it works...lol..Anyway, couldn’t resist posting a couple of very bad pictures.

@dirtyharriett
Have you had a chance to shoot your SD with the Omega 9 yet? An SD is my project for next year, I just have to decide if I want to go with the B&T can or the Omega 9. |

Well I finally got to the range today with a decent selection of mostly B&T weapon systems. It was the first nice non raining day since the Christmas madness ended that I had a chance to break away and get to the range. My main focus for this range trip besides fun was to test my two B&T APC9SD's for the first time since getting the suppressor stamps back. Well I was extremely pleased in how well they performed and they were a real pleasure to shoot. The only thing I have to say is that with standard ammunition I thought the "PERCEIVED" sound reduction was not as quiet through the Sico Omega 9SD as I had expected.
I brought several other firearms along to compare them to with the two other quietest being an HK MP5 with a Gemtech MK9K suppressor and a B&T TP9 with TP9 suppressor. I did however not shoot any subsonic ammo from the APC9SD's yet so it was not exactly a fair comparison to the others using subsonics. I really need to get one of those high end DB measuring devices but I have just not been able to break away from firearm and accessories acquisitions to pony up for one yet. I will say I thought they were very hearing safe. I shot many rounds through the APC9SD's with no hearing protection and had no ringing in my ears or discomfort at all. Overall I was very pleased and I look forward to many more tests to run these guys through their paces. |
